{ Anne Marie Murphy }

The owner and founder of Eastern Script is Anne Marie Murphy. After completing an undergraduate degree cum laude in English Literature from Bowdoin College, she worked at various jobs in the film industry in both Boston and Los Angeles before completing a Master’s degree summa cum laude at the UCLA Film School (Critical Studies). Opening Eastern Script in 1993, she launched the first script clearance house to exist outside of Los Angeles county. { Erin Green }
Erin studied English Literature at the University of Toronto. Other than reading Shakespeare, she loves writing, travelling, and music. After touring the world over the next year or so — while keeping her clearances hat on — she hopes her own original work will be found in our title searches!
{ Robyne Newhook }
Aspirations in editing and writing brought her out of years in operations management to our front door. If this soon-to-be literary graduate and mother of two cats is not researching titles, she is lost in the latest fantasy fiction novel out there. In the great debate of red wine vs. white wine, she is all white; but would never turn down the red, rosé, sparkling, or any wine for that matter.
{ Chantal Saville }
After being a community newspaper publisher and freelance writer and ghostwriter, among other titles, Chantal was looking for something a little different. It was pure luck that she found a posting for a local position that seemed to fit her skill set perfectly. Despite admitting that she had to Google exactly what the role was, having never heard of “script clearance” before, she joined the team in 2022 and never looked back. In her downtime, this Francophile, book reading, movie watching, pastry baking, wine sipping, foodie mom to one teen and caregiver to one spry octogenarian… well, she naps. And on the question of red or white? Anything goes, as long as it doesn’t come out of a box!
{ Maggie Spencer }
After receiving a BA in Psychology with a minor in Law, Maggie realized she had more fun in her law courses. Going on to become a paralegal, she found herself a role here which combines her love of legal research with her interest in the film and television industry. She’s always eagerly awaiting the next movie she can cross off her infinitely long “to-watch” list.
{ Mark Woodland }
Mark completed a B.A. degree majoring in Media Studies as a mature student in 2011. After spending much of his 30s working in script clearance, he’s now at the ripe old age of 40 and back in the game with new interest for film, tv and script clearance research. A sucker for a good story and good music, his spare moments are spent reading books (many crime thrillers), listening to classic pop and rock, watching films and walking his adorable old dog, Mimi.
